THE PROMISE NEVERLAND SEASON 2 SERIES
In 2021, the average rose to 1.5 million copies sold monthly and thus recorded a growth of over 120%. As of April 2021, the manga had over 32 million copies in circulation, with 6 million copies sold between January and April 2021 alone. This is all to say that interest and potential revenue for the series is not only still there, but higher than ever!
An average of around 650,000 copies were sold per month. However, the story of The Promised Neverland can still be saved, and the series can once again be considered one of the best anime, season 2 just needs to be remade in a way that follows the manga at least up until the Goldy Pond Battle Arc.ĭespite ending in 2020, The Promised Neverland manga is still very popular and not only is it still selling extremely well, but the sales are actually increasing! The Promised Neverland had 16 million copies in circulation in September 2019, 21 million in June 2020 and 26 million in December 2020. Instead, the series is now considered to be one of the worst anime of all time. By rushing the series to the end and delivering a very unsatisfying conclusion, the reputation The Promised Neverland once had as one of the best anime is now ruined.
THE PROMISE NEVERLAND SEASON 2 TV
Season 2 was one of the most anticipated anime series of 2021 and on MAL, it was the second most watched anime series of winter 2021 behind Attack On Titian and the second biggest TV anime premiere of all time. Unfortunately, season 2 failed to deliver in almost every way. Not only did season 1 succeed at getting many new people into anime and manga in general, it was also widely considered to be one of the best anime of the 2010s and was on the path to become a staple in anime and potentially one of the greatest anime of all time. Season 1 proved that this story has what it takes to be a big game changer in the anime industry. Unfortunately, instead of expanding the story, season 2 rushes through the story with many major plot points being either poorly explained or left out entirely. Some have called season 2 one of the worst anime adaptations ever, on par with the infamous Tokyo Ghoul:re anime and Berserk 2016.įollowing what many fans believed was a underwhelming conclusion to the manga in 2020, fans were hoping season 2 of the anime would fix the issues with the manga by expanding upon the world and characters and providing answers to burning questions that the manga never got around to explaining. The story is very rushed, important plot points are given brief (if any) explanations, and fan favorite characters and arcs (including the highly popular Goldy Pond arc) have been completely cut out, which has left many fans devastated. While season 2 has some good elements such as great voice acting and music, most fans agree that season 2 is a major contrast in quality from season 1. Season 1 was a faithful adaptation of the manga and was revered by fans and non-fans alike for its amazing music, beautiful animation, complex characters, and writing that not only hooked you until the very end, but also explained every little detail of its thrilling story. After a very successful first season anime adaptation of the popular manga series Yakusoku no Neverland ( The Promised Neverland), fans waited over a year for the much anticipated second season.
